CAROLINE WOZNIACKI’S FINAL MATCH WITH SERENA WILLIAMS HAS BEEN POSTPONED

(April 9, 2020) – After announcing her retirement in December, Caroline Wozniacki also announced she would play a final exhibition match against her long-time friend Serena Williams, however that match has been postponed due to the current Coronavirus outbreak. The former No. 1 played her final professional tournament back in January at the Australian Open, which is where she won her first Grand Slam title in 2018.

The exhibition match against Williams was scheduled to take place in Caroline’s native country of Denmark on May 18. The match was to be dubbed, “The Final One.”

Caroline wrote on her Instagram Tuesday that the match would be postponed and stated, “”the safety and health of everyone is most important.” She added shortly after that tickets already purchased “will still be good, once we pick a new date.”
